This wasn't the first strange thing Ranma had ever encountered, and it didn't take long for his to figure it out. That mysterious computer he found had some type of magic power and the game he thought he was playing had made changes for real. Akane was now a demon, but he was the only one who knew something was different. This altered Akane was much nicer to him, but clearly very jealous. That would also explain Shampoo being the family maid. Against demon Akane, the poor chinese amazon wouldn't have stood a chance. Ranma remembered Nabiki's earlier comment. If Akane had broken the proud Shampoo down to being a meek servant, what had happened to Kodachi? Or Ukyo? Or any other girl that had crossed his path? Knowing Akane's temper as just a normal human, he didn't want to think about it.
Outside there was a lot of noise, like a large number of vehicles had pulled up in the street. Nabiki raised her head and looked nervious. "Uh oh."
"Oh dear," said Kasumi. "Not again during dinner."
Ranma's heart sank as he remembered what else he had put into the computer. If Akane was a demon, then mobster Kujaku Tsuretsu was out to get Nabiki. This was his fault. He didn't need to guess what was waiting outside. He started to rise. "I'll take care of this."
Akane grabbed his arm and pulled him back down with more strength than Ranma wanted to think about her having. "No, Darling. You relax and enjoy your dinner. I'll handle it." Akane floated up and then faded away. A few moments later, Ranma heard a couple of gunshots, followed by screaming and then an explosion. Everyone else continued eating as though this was a normal occurance. With the way reality was twisted now, perhaps it was.
As quick as he could without looking suspicious, Ranma excused himself and retreated to his room. Akane as herself was bad enough, but Akane as a demon girl? He had to use that strange computer to undo what he had done.
