The start of Clara's brand new day

A swirly cloud of something that looked like fog filled the room, and then faded into the night. A woman lay sleeping in a bed, covers pulled up to his chin. The clock next to him showed "6:59", then quietly flipped to "7:00" and began to beep.

Clara was asleep, and right in the middle of a very exciting dream, when the loud beeping of the alarm woke her up. She blinked her eyes a few times, rolled over and turned off the alarm. She lay there in bed for a moment, remembering what she was supposed to do today. Whatever it was, it had to be better than yesterday, she thought - today is a brand new day! After laying there quietly for a moment, Clara:

  1. realized that she was going to be late for her job as an investigative reporter for The Daily.
  2. decided to go back to sleep to re-enter her dream.
  3. suddenly realized that she wasn't alone in her bed.
  4. became aware that she didn't know where she was.
  5. did something else.
